Instrumental Music Director Michael Leeds is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, with a BM in Music Education and a MM in Music Performance. He is still active in the local music community on his main instrument, the bassoon. He can be heard on the Albany record label.
Mr. Leeds has been with the school district since 2007, helping to restore the band to its former success. Notable accomplishments include instituting the Music Theory AP curriculum (2008), reviving the OH Marching Band (2010), starting the OH Drumline (2011), instating the Music Technology curriculum (2012), and being awarded the Sun Federal Credit Union's Extraordinary Teacher of the Year (2015).
Michael and his wife Elizabeth, along with his two children Jeremiah and Allison, reside in Ottawa Hills. He enjoys spending time with his family, listening (and making!) music, drawing, and golf in his ever-shinking spare time.
