Junior Danielle Sun has been named a "Dean’s List Award Finalist" by the FIRST Robotics Competition at the recent Miami Valley Regional held at Wright State University.
The award recognizes her “exemplary passion and effectiveness in achieving the mission of FIRST.” She was nominated by Crystal Burnworth, who directs the Sylvania STEM Center where Danielle’s robotics team is hosted.
She received the honor last weekend at the FIRST Robotics regional event in Dayton, which featured 120 Dean's List submissions from 60 teams from across the country. Danielle will represent Ottawa Hills, the STEM Center, and FIRST Robotics at the World Championship in Detroit April 28-May 2. There, she will take part in a national competition for one of the final honors.
The Dean’s List recognizes the leadership and dedication of FIRST Robotics Competition students. Since its introduction in 2010, the Dean’s List Award has attracted the attention of prestigious colleges and universities who desire to recruit FIRST Dean’s List students.
