Beginning April 5, current requirements related to remote-learning attendance will be strictly enforced. Effective that date, only students/families who have formally changed their learning status to remote with their respective building office will be counted as present when logging into class via Google Meet.
Students who are called in sick will not be counted as present if they log in. In addition, families who otherwise wish to remove a son or daughter from in-person instruction (whether for a single day or multiple days) for family reasons will not be counted as present if they log into a class.
In essence, the only students who will be marked as "present-remote" for daily attendance are those whose families have decided to keep them home for remote instruction. This reinforces a previous district guideline that strongly discouraged families from moving children back and forth between remote and in-person instruction.
If you have any questions about this change in attendance, please contact your building principal.
