Eliot Browarsky named Ohio DIII Player of the Year
Browarsky has been named Ohio's Division III Player of the Year by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association. A senior midfielder, also was named All-Ohio first team for the second consecutive season after leading the Green Bears to a 16-2-1 record.
Browarsky, who has verbally committed to play at Elon College, helped Ottawa Hills win a State Title in 2008.
Reed Glosser named second team All-Ohio in Division III
Reed is a Junior, who played on the 2008 State Championship Team
Jamieson and Smith - Field Hockey All Ohio
Katherine Jamieson and Lane Smith have been selected as members of the All Ohio Field Hockey team for the 2009 season. Fifteen players were selected from throughout the state for this honor; Lane and Katherine were presented with a certificate and medal during a short ceremony at Dublin Jerome High School on Sunday, November 8, 2009. This is the first time that two players from Ottawa Hills High School have received this honor in the same season.
HS & JH Boys' Cross Country - TAAC Champs
On Saturday the Cross Country teams competed at the TAAC Championships. The HS boys won by 18 points ending TC’s winning streak of 6 years. Matt Baron was TAAC Champion and the other scoring runners were Andy King 2nd, Mark Rudolph 4th, Tommy Rudolph 5th, and Kevin Herman 6th. All 5 runners received 1st Team All-TAAC honors. Also running for the team was Michael Herman 8th and Connor McHugh 11th for 2nd Team All-TAAC honors.
The HS girls finished 4th as a team. Caitlin Shawaker 12th and Maggie Reilly 14th received 2nd Team All TAAC honors.
The JH boys Cross Country team won the TAAC Championship for the 5th year in a row! Chris King was TAAC Champion receiving 1st Team All-TAAC honors along with Dan Reilly 3rd and Sam Rush 4th. Nick Hauck 10th , Noah Hupp 12th and Connor Shawaker 14th received 2nd Team All-TAAC honors.
The JH girls were edged out by Danbury for the TAAC team title. Zhada Fields was TAAC Champion receiving 1st Team All-TAAC honors along with Kelly Rudolph 7th. 2nd Team All-TAAC honors went to Maddie Freeman 9th and Sara Eskandari 11th.
Girls Tennis to States
Singles player Drew Fillis, along with the District Doubles Champions Arohi Bhatt and Shivani Bhatt have qualified to compete in the State Tennis Tournament. They will play in Friday, October 23 in Columbus Ohio.
