Ottawa Hills Hosts Student Shadow Day April 5

Junior Priya Bhatt speaking to students.
Junior Priya Bhatt presented to Shadow Day attendees last fall.As part of its efforts to encourage non-Village residents to join our district, Ottawa Hills Local Schools is hosting its first “Student Shadow Day” Friday, April 5. The event is open to current fourth through 11th graders and runs from 8 a.m. to noon.
Attendees will meet some of our teachers, current students, and administrators; learn about our curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities; tour our facilities, and be treated to an informational luncheon. A similar event was held October 29, and featured current students shadowing prospective students. It also included a luncheon, where students (such as junior Priya Bhatt, pictured above) spoke about their experiences.
Although the district is promoting this event through social media and local print publications (Toledo Area Parent), it asking for the community’s help to share the news. If you know a family that is considering changing districts/schools or is new to the region, please let them know about this event.
They can register their children for shadowing day by calling the superintendent’s office at 419-536-6371 or by registering online by clicking here.
